Malaysia wins its 30th world cup in pastry-making!

This year’s Malaysia team members Wei Loon TAN, Otto TAY and Ming Ai LOI won the prestigious 2019 World Pastry Cup award.

One of the most distinguished competitions in the culinary arts,the World Pastry Cup was created by Gabriel Paillasson in 1989 and launched by the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France society of pastry chefs and ice cream makers.

Under the watchful eye of Philippe Rigollot, the World Pastry Cup committee chair, the pastry trade’s best and brightest came from around the globe once again this year for the outstanding final round held on January 27-28 in the Chefs’ Area at the SIRHA 2019 hospitality trade show in Lyon.
